My 2014 Birthday Wishlist
Two weeks more to go ‘til my birthday! And today I’m in my highest mood to share my birthday wishlist for this year. Actually, it’s funny because I had realized that up to now I still don’t have any of the things I had included in my 2013 wishlist. And I guess those stuffs will still remain to be just wishes forever (or unless as soon as I’ll get f*cking rich!) Hahaha! So after few days of contemplating to what I really want for my upcoming special day, I ended up having a different kind of wishlist. Different in a sense that its not about material things like the usual wishlist most of us have.

- To have a job as soon as possible. - Yes, with SALARY please! It’s been very hard for us novice nurses here in the Philippines to easily get a proper job with compensation compared to other professions. It’s so frustrating that after we graduated and passed the PNLE, we then tend to spend years working hard in hospitals as no other than nurse volunteers. Oh di ba? Ganyan kami ka DAKILA pero nakuha pa ng iba na maliitin at pagtawanan and aming propesyon! This is why I keep on telling myself, “Konting tiis na lang at makakaalis ka din ng Pilipinas!” This is the REALITY! So sad but we have no choice but to face it.
- Reconciliation with my brother - We had a major misunderstanding the past few months and until now it remains to be unresolved. I’m trying my best to reach out for him but I think he’s not yet ready.. Haaaaay!
- Good Health - I am becoming so paranoid regarding my health lately. I’ve been eating healthy food but still I always feel weak and every time I experience a little unusual feels in my body, I would always tend to over think and become so worried that I might already suffering from a major or serious illness. Perks of being in a medical profession though!
- Stronger Spirit - That I may find courage to stand for myself and to fight out for what I feel and believe so that monstrous, judgmental, and insecure people cannot belittle me anymore!
- Forgiving Heart - I wish I am not as emotionally sensitive as I am now so that I can easily learn to forgive people that had hurt me. Furthermore, this will help lessen my chances of having a heart attack. lol
- Peace of Mind - At night, I usually go to bed by 10-12 but I can hardly sleep because of the late night/early morning random thoughts that keep on haunting me. I want to become worry-free and stress free (even just for the sake of getting enough sleep. Oh God!).
I think I’m mature enough to come up with these essential things in life. Am I? Haha! Well, I’m not a kid anymore to dwell so much on material stuffs. Like what Anthony J. D'Angelo said, “The most important things in life aren’t things.”
My 2013 Birthday Wishlist
It’s exactly a week before my birthday. So I decided to blog something about my wishlist.. I came up with these stuffs although i’m not a “buy me this, give me that” type of person. I’m just sharing this, incase you guys still have no idea what to give me on my special day. lol. :D
1. Pink Fujifilm Instax Mini 8 - it is a polaroid instant film camera with cute and compact body design perfect for instant picture-picture moments plus instant fun and captured memories!
2. Forever 21 Floral Wedge Sneakers -I’ve been wanting to have wedge sneakers since I saw them from some of my fave bloggers. And this F21 sneakers catches my attention because of its floral detailing. I just love it!
3. Majolica Majorca Beauty Essentials - I’m not a make-up junkie but I wanted to try this brand Majolica Majorca. I’ve seen this featured in Candy Magazine many times. Aside from the very cute packaging, I also want to know if it has a pretty good quality as well.
4. Mocking Jay Necklace - I’m a fan of Hunger Games. Upon reading the 2nd book “Catching Fire”, I become interested to have a Mocking Jay pendant necklace. So recently, I searched online where to purchase one and I found it here. Actually, I started saving some of my money and planning to buy this for myself maybe next month. (But if you wish to buy this as a birthday gift for me instead, then it’d be better. Just let me know. Haha)
5. Miss Selfridge Dress - Ever since I wanted to own one of the Miss Selfridge dresses. They are so adorable! This embroidered mesh dress is my pick. The color and style brings a vintage casual look.
6. Trip to El Nido, Palawan - Since last year, I wanted to visit El Nido together with my travel buddy/bff, Coco. But until now we still couldn’t make it because of these reasons: we don’t have enough cash, busy schedules, and we’re not sure if our parents will permit us to go. lol. Maybe we need sponsors with this! Hahaha
That’s all! And by the way, have you realized also that this stuffs are a little too expensive? (Well, aside from the Mocking Jay necklace). That’s primarily the reason why I put them on my birthday wishlist because obviously, I can’t afford to buy them on my own. Hahaha. Well, what can a volunteer nurse in the Philippines without salary can do about this? I believe that someday I can also have these pretty things without asking someone to buy these for me. I swear! But anyway, with or without them I still promise to be a happy kid on my birthday. I will still be thankful because being alive and blessed with a lot of good people in my life is more than enough. :)
