Heart warming catching up..
June 9, 2014
My best friends (Mae & CJ) and I met at around 3:30 in the afternoon at the Atrium mall and together we head to the bus terminal going to Capiz. We left Iloilo at around 4:30 PM. We went to our friend Coco’s place in Mambusao to visit the wake of her father. We have planned about it a week before and we decided to stay there overnight. I feel quite excited because its been so long since the last time we were together (us four) despite the fact that we’re going to a wake.
It’s quite a long travel but I don’t really mind cos I love long drives anyway and I’m so used to it. Aside from that I also love the weather that day, the sunset, the cloud formations and the beautiful view of nature along the road. But unfortunately I wasn’t able to take pictures from the outside because the bus is airconditioned so windows are closed and it’s running a little bit fast. And these are the only photos I took along the way..

We arrived at Mambusao past 7 in the evening. We ate dinner then we joined in the prayer together with some local folks in their place. After which, Coco brought us to her room, we fixed our things and started our unlimited conversations (chikas/tsismis) and a lot of catching up! We played tong-its while munching food, took selfies and more until 3 in the morning the next day. We missed each other so much that we had such great bonding! Well, I actually had two things which I personally aimed that night. First, to spend quality time with Coco to show our sympathy and to let her feel that we care. And secondly, for us to be able fill in each other with the latest happenings about each other’s lives because of course that’s what friends are like. And I can finally say that we met those goals during the whole time we were together.

Wee took a photo using Coco’s polaroid camera. So cute!

I posted this photo on my Instagram that night. :)

We woke up at 7:30 in the morning. We fixed ourselves and ate our breakfast. But before leaving, I silently said a personal prayer for the repose of the soul of Tito (Coco’s dad) then we kissed and hugged Coco’s mom to say our condolences and thank yous. We’re glad because we rode back to Iloilo together with Coco, her older brother, and her sister in law. They have appointments in the city so they’ve decided to let us ride along with them in the car. We’re lucky enough to save 142 pesos bus fare. lol
CJ & I decided to go home directly as soon as we arrived in Ilolio City at around 11 AM but Manong NM (Coco’s brother) invited us to have lunch with them at Max’s Restaurant. Coco begged so much that we couldn’t say no to their offer so we went with them and dine. We were thankful once again for that free treat of sumptuous meal! Manong NM was so nice and he always makes sure that we ate well. He was even the one who puts food on our plate. Hehe. And by the way, he is my long time crush! Haha. So just imagine how “kilig” I was that very moment. Hahaha. Just kidding. Well well..Coco knew about it though. :)
So after we finished our lunch, we part ways.
(P.S. I wasn’t able to take pictures on the second day because I was too shy cos Manong NM was with us. lol)
Indeed, it was a meaningful day. :)
