My Happy Catalogue (September 2014)

I felt the need to pamper myself last month since my life gets so stressful recently. I was able to get a coupon from Watsons Store that is, 50 pesos discount for every single purchase of Watsons product worth 500 pesos. So I bought some needed things for my beauty regimen. And some of the products I purchase became instantly my favorite!

Watsons Facial Masks - It is a firming and moisturizing facial mask with cucumber extract and collagen. I love the cooling and refreshing feeling I get when I applied it on my face. It instantly energized my skin! There’s no need to rinse after you have removed the masks so based on my experience, when I woke up the next day I felt my skin was perfectly moisturized and healthy looking. Plus it’s buy-two-take-one promo so it’s much cheaper!

Sakura Bella Travel Pack - I actually want to buy just the bigger Sakura Bella Shower Gel but it is no longer available so I get this travel pack instead which includes body scrub and hand & body lotion. Aaaaahh! This has been my favorite since college but I stopped using to give way to some must-try products. Hahah! But of coarse I can’t resist it! I really love the smell. It so calming and relaxing just what I needed for my stressed nerves! (And oh, I’m just wondering if the real Sakuras smell like this too! Haha!)

GT Bleaching Soap - I’m a little “OC” when it comes to my skin complexion. So whenever I noticed some discoloration or uneven skin tone I immediately find ways to fixed it. I tried this bleaching herbal soap as a solution for uneven skin color especially in my arms and neck portion. It’s quite strong but the result is good in just two weeks. It also removes dead skin cells and you can obviously notice that skin becomes fairer.

Olay All in One Fairness Day Cream - I love the glow I get whenever I apply this cream. I sometimes use this as a substitute for BB Cream. It’s much lighter on skin and non-sticky. And it’s UV protection component is another important benefit.

Watsons Compact Puffs and Eyelash Curler - It’s hygienic to change the compact puffs of our pressed powders especially if it already looks soiled or dirty. We may never know that it maybe the cause of our acne or pimples. Yikes! And at this moment I needed this eyelash curlers to achieve perfect lashes. It comes with two free rubber pads and the purple handle looks so chic!

Skin Protect Hand Sanitizers - Just another need for hygienic purposes! It is also a buy-one-take-one promo from Watsons so I have these two!. Green tea & aloe is my personal favorite scent.

Lip Ice Strawberry Lip Moisturizer - It has Beeswax formulation and contains natural ingredients such as Shea Butter, Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil, Jojoba Seed Oil and Aloe Extract. It keeps lips moisturized, smooth, and healthy. Plus it gives natural sheer pink color to the lips which I love the most! And the smell of strawberry is so sweet. I think this has been the best lip moisturizer I’ve ever tried. I swear, I’ll forever be a Lip Ice Baby!

My Happy Catalogue (July - August 2014)
The month of August was very tough and quite unpleasant for me and my family because of what had happened to my sister. And since she was getting well now and was discharged from the hospital last week, I think it’s about time for me to finish and post some entries on my drafts.
I’ve decided to put together my monthly favorites or what I personally called “My Happy Catalogue” for the month of July and August all in one since I was not able to post it last month. I got this idea from Candy Magazine’s segment “Happy Thoughts” where the editors/writers share the things they are grinning about for a certain month.
In my own case, the following will be mostly beauty products, freebies, thrift stuffs, and things that gained sentimental value for the last two months.
- First on the list is this Ivi Premium Moisturizing Body Wash - a freebie from Cosmopolitan Magazine June 2014 issue. It is a collagen containing body wash made in Japan. I love how soothing it is to the skin and the scent is not too strong. I’ve also noticed that dead skin cells peel off leaving skin moisturized and smooth.

- Celeteque Brightening Facial Wash - It was my first time to try Celeteque products and I’m loving it! This facial wash is non sticky and I always feel my skin is being cleansed well after washing. It also helps my skin glow and looks fairer.

- Safeguard Derma Sense Soap - It’s been hard for my sister Joann finding products that could help fight her pimple problems. I’ve been sharing to her some beauty tips but it seems to be useless since I guess we have a different skin type.. until she found out this soap and begin to use it. She told me this soap is effective and so I give it a try! It indeed lessens pimples and acne plus its cheaper compare to other anti-bacterial soaps.

- Trendy head bands - my sisters and I became fans of Steffi Cheon from the Korean Drama “My Love from Another Star”. These type of headbands became Steffi’s fashion statement in the drama and so we decided to purchase these cute ones too. lol

- Taylor Swift Red Tour Freebies - My sister Gie joined the promo of Cornetto during Taylor Swift’s concert last June and she won this Comfy black shirt which had arrived later in July. While this tote bag was bought by my sister Joann from her friend who won lots of freebies. She let me use the bag and I love how it adds chic feels in a simple outfit!

- Lacey pink cardigan from a thrift shop - I wore this during my birthday and this is my favorite piece that creates a classy dainty-ish look!

- Shake It Off by Taylor Swift - Last August 18, 2014, Taylor Swift announced that she is set to release her 5th album entitled 1989 on October. She also releases a single from the said album..the song “Shake it Off”. The lyrics was good and shows off how Taylor thinks and deals with her haters. This becomes instantly my favorite song of the month. And by the way who’s excited for her new album? Me! Me! Me! :D

I LOVE YOU FOREVER TAY!!! (gif source: der_jaguard.tumblr.com)
- My 120pesos flipflops - These slippers were my companions during our three weeks hospital stay. These had served me well especially when I ran errands back and forth from the 5th floor of SPICE building of St. Paul’s Hospital day and night when my sister was still admitted at the MICU. In other words, these cheap flipflops had witnessed my struggles for the whole month of August. Thanks buddy!

- A Rosary bracelet - Like my flipflops, I hold on to this bracelet during our family’s moments of hopelessness and discouragement, when we are about to give up and and thought that my sister will already lose the battle. This simple thing gave me hope and reminded me that with God, nothing is impossible. :)

That’s all folks! I wish I will be consistent enough in blogging my monthly favorites despite how busy I am. Ber months coming our way! Enjoy! xx
My Happy Catalogue (June 2014)
Hey! How are you guys? I bet some of you are still having summer hangover! Hehe. The month of June was here! Oh wait… Yes it’s already June! and we’re towards finishing the first half of the year 2014. Wow! That was quite fast! Summer season has just ended but in my own case I wasn’t able to enjoy it because I’ve had no chance to travel and to have summer getaway even at least to the nearby beaches & resorts. I’m such a summer couch potato! Haa! Actually, My friends and I have planned a trip to Negros Occidental on this 3rd week of the month but we received a bad news just yesterday about the passing away of the father of one of our travel buddy. It’s a bit frustrating but we have no choice but to cancel our trip as a sign of respect and sympathy. Well, surely we can push it through some other time.
So as promised, I am going to share to you my happy list and happy thoughts that I look forward for this month of June…

- Let’s welcome June with arms wide open! I am expecting that hot thirsty days will soon be replaced by cool feels. Well, hello rainy season! We can finally sleep at night without sweating too much! lol. But let’s just hope and pray that there’s no destructive typhoons will ever come.

- I’m about to read Stephanie Kate Strohm’s book entitled “Confederates Don’t Wear Couture”. My sister bought this on a huge book sale when they went to Cebu last time. I find this interesting because It’s not only about love but it is also about fashion and with a touch of history. Let us see if it’s really worth reading as I go along with the pages.

- Maleficent and The Fault In Our Stars! Two movies I’m planning to watch this month. I’ve already decided to watch Maleficent tomorrow together with my friend Bi! And TFIOS will be showing on on the 6th so maybe I have to watch it later this month. I’m so excited!

- Lipsticks! I am sure to enjoy these 3 shades of lipsticks I got on sale from Avon. It makes me look girly and fierce! Haha. It isn’t hard to pick color that would compliment on my daily outfits! <3

- And finally! I’m already enrolled at Score High Review Center for my IELTS academic review and grammar class. Nyay! I’m not yet sure when to take the exam but as of the moment I have to focus on my review. Wish me luck and please pray for my success guys. Hehehe
That’s it for now! I’m wishing everyone a happy and productive days of June ahead! xoxo

I’m currently addicted into watching this Korean novela which is aired in GMA 7 at 6pm every weekdays. This is a modern fictional romantic comedy series. I like the twists of the story because it’s quite unique and unpredictable. I love the chemistry of Kim Soo-hyun as Matteo Do and Jun Ji-hyun as Steffi Cheon. They look so perfect together!
